Years ago, if you wanted to find a pick-up basketball game, it wasn’t hard to find a park or a backyard full of basketball junkies ready and willing to play all day long. This isn’t always the case these days.

Camps, clinics, lessons, tournaments, leagues, club teams – these are all great ways to develop skills. But sometimes the best way to learn the game and develop your “basketball IQ” is just to get out and play for the love of the game. There’s just something about an open court that helps young players start figuring things out on their own.

At the Factory we want to bring the “open gym” concept back, so beginning in October, we’re opening up 2 courts every Wednesday after school at 4:00. A member of our coaching staff will be there to put teams together and get kids playing quickly. Games will be monitored to ensure fair play and that everyone gets plenty of opportunities.
